SARAH BAGLEE: ART AND DESIGN
ABOUT
The Pink Apocalypse project I've been working on during this year is a world based in a future apocalypse scenario overrun by the saccharine. This project is somewhat based on my own views of topics such as consumerism, feminism and lightly touches on mental illness. In design i am fascinated by we can subtly address different subjects through a character from the basics of the colour and shapes to more details about them like their mannerisms and roles they play, and this is my way of exploring all this. I also have a high interest in fashion which goes hand in hand with character design and can really impact a characters personality and the theme of the world, the aesthetic can heavily influence the message of the story.

This section shows some of the design work I've done on my project so far testing out some new characters and concept art to go towards the pre production. I've been mainly focusing on the character designs and figuring out their roles within the project.

ABOUT ME
During my education I've been able to work on some personal projects mainly designing characters in my own worlds, I love designing characters because it gives me an opportunity to express and portray my own personality and beliefs onto these characters through subtle ways. Animated shows and movies was a heavy influence on me growing up and acted as a support system being able to lose myself in different worlds and my main goal is to be able to provide that for other people, and in order to do that id love to gain experience in a professional studio and one day become a freelance artist and work on my own animated show.
SKILLS
My skill set is more based around my creativity and being able to create unique designs for characters and world building. My speciality is 2D digital art but I also have experience in acrylic and gouache paintings, creating art pieces and movie posters and comic book covers, I’ve also designed tattoo designs for clients. During my studies at university I’ve worked on a lot of my own 2D animations including working with storyboarding and animatics.
EXPERIENCE
Whilst being a student at NTU I have had the opportunity to work with other people in a collaborative project for a client to create a short 2D animation

OTHER HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
Outside of my art in university of course I doodle for myself, and have done a lot of research into tattoo designing, but I also have performed live singing while playing the guitar, I've won a small competition with my baking, I also do a lot of fashion design and sewing and creating my own clothes, and also do some photography.
